Preaching Made Simple focuses on the basic principles of sermon preparation, and keeps the reader committed to the imperative call to fulfill the great commission given to the Church by Jesus Christ. Within its pages the author covers a wide range of subjects including:

  • God’s commitment to every preacher
  • The need of personal preparation
  • How to organize your sermons
  • The difference between homiletics and hermeneutics
  • The components necessary for a good sermon

A preacher who neglects to study the Bible is like a doctor who chooses to make a surgical incision using a hand saw instead of a scalpel. You will successfully cut the patient open, but more than likely, it will be a messy job. By choosing the hand saw instead of the scalpel, you also run the risk of damaging important internal organs, and you will definitely leave an awful scar.

About the author: T. Basil Sturrup is an outstanding expository preacher with more than two decades of experience in pastoral ministry. He serves as the senior pastor for Agape Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nassau, Bahamas, and he is the speaker/director of Power of Truth Television and Radio Broadcast. Pastor Sturrup and his wife Lavern are the parents of two teenage children, Brandon and Taren.
